Mid-year of 1979 marks the outline of establishing PMAP in Laguna to create an avenue of collaboration to adapt local concerns, develop leadership and fraternity among HR practitioners in Laguna. By 1980, twenty(20) executives from various companies in Laguna chartered THE PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION IN THE PHILIPPINES- LAGUNA CHAPTER known as PMAP- LAGUNA and adapted the aim of the mother organization and incorporating its local mission. After several years of inactive participation from National, two of its founders and charter members (Messrs. Manuel c. Adiova, FPM and Ludovico “Joy” Andrade Jr. revived the chapter in 1997 with the new idealism, fervor and competence and renamed the chapter PMAP- CALABARZON. 

The rebirth of PMAP-CALABARZON brought about great flexibility to local practitionersand it strived to continuosly enhanced itself to meet the ever-changing demands of business, industry, human resource functions and government. Now, PMAP-CALABARZON is the 10th chapter of PMAP national operating in Region IV consisting of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon. It commits itself to help institutions and individuals to improve the human aspect of management and the development of their human resources, promotes the HRM profession by developing he professional skills of HRM practitioner and establishing the standards of excellence for the practice of the profession. 

PMAP Calabarzon helps its members become more effective on the job, by offering numerous career development opportunities and services, as well as in their personal growth via avenues for establishing networks and collegial relations with fellow HRM practitioners. It also aims to help mold enlightened people managers who can effectively participate in nation building.
